You will love this story! I found this story because I spoke to a friend the other night who told me about a PBS special with Dr. Wayne Dyer during which he mentioned that he was healed from leukemia.
Interested in healing, I searched online and found a video of an interview with Dr. Dyer by Lilou of Juicy Living Tour. During the interview, Wayne mentioned Anita Moorjani’s book titled, “Dying to Be Me“ (click title to buy book), the front cover of which reads, “My journey from cancer to near death to true healing.”
Then, I searched for Anita M’s NDE and found another interview by Lilou with Anita Moorjani. The details in this story were taken from the interview and I posted a link to the video below.
I am thrilled beyond belief to share with you the story of Anita Moorjani. Like “The Miracle of Lester Levenson“, Anita’s story is about love in its highest and purest form.
It’s no exaggeration to say, it’s a miracle Anita is alive today. In 2002, Anita was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Reluctant and afraid to have chemotherapy, she opted to try various alternative treatments first. The cancer spread and in 2005 Anita was given a prognosis of three months to live. Within six weeks of this prognosis, Anita fell into a coma.
Anita explains that while in the coma state she was actually in a really amazing and beautiful place where she was aware of everything that happened around her including how distraught her family was. In fact, she didn’t understand why they were so distraught because she felt so good. She was free from pain and suffering.
But, there was more, Anita felt absolutely surrounded by unconditional love so magnificent that words cannot explain. She describes the feeling like the warm comfort of home.
Anita could see, hear and feel everything that was happening within the entire situation. She heard doctor’s talking about her condition when they were not even inside her room. She knew her husband called her brother to tell him the news. She had awareness of her brother and knew that he was coming to see her. While in the coma, Anita felt the presence of her father who died 10 years prior as well as the presence of her friend who died from cancer.
In this state, Anita explains there is no time lapse, when she brought something into her awareness it instantly appeared before her. She was aware of other lives as though she lived other lives, but not as past lives, as lives that were actually happening then and there in front of her. It’s like all of time exists at the same time. Everything is happening in the present moment – past, present and future. Anita saw her future. She had a choice of whether she wanted to come back or not. Anita saw the outcome of both scenario’s play out.
The reason Anita had the cancer became incredibly clear to her. She explains she lived a fearful life. Everything she did in life was out of fear, not out of love for herself or for her body or love for who she was, but she did it out of fear for the consequences. She realized, her life up to that point was a culmination of fearful thoughts.
Anita understood how all the fear she had accumulated in her energy and physical body created the illness she had. She realized that we are not supposed to live a life of fear. At our core, we are actually amazing magnificent spiritual beings who are supposed to express our truth and live who we are. We are not supposed to be afraid of who we are by pretending to be something else (a limited physical body with limited senses).
Anita also understood that we are all One, all part of the One consciousness, all facets of the One Source. Anita was able to feel the emotions of everyone she put her awareness on, every doctor, nurse, her mother, brother and her husband. Without her body, she realized that our bodies make us feel separate, in truth, we are not separate we’re all One and whatever we do and feel affects everybody. Whatever she focused her awareness on, she became it. Without her body she felt she was everywhere at the same time.
Anita explains that the only thing that is real is our emotions. This state stayed with Anita for weeks after she came out of the coma. She could feel the emotions of the doctors and nurses who treated her. The doctors wanted to do tests on her, she knew she was fine but agreed to the tests because she felt compassion for them.
This experience taught Anita that she is invincible, as is everyone, all of us.
At first, Anita didn’t want to go back into that painful body, but her father’s presence told her it was not her time yet and that she should go back. At the same time, it was made known to her that because she now knew who she truly was and how magnificent she was, her body would heal very rapidly and it would be a total healing. Her body would reflect the truth; that the body is not the real “Me”. Her father told her to go back and live her life fearlessly. After that, she awoke from the coma.
Anita understood that she had a purpose to fulfill, but that she wouldn’t have to work hard at figuring out that purpose. She just had to be herself, live life with abandon, allow and the purpose would unfold before her.
Once awake from the coma, Anita had no idea she was even in a coma because she was aware of everything that transpired during the entire time. About 27 minutes into the video, Anita describes how she recounted the events to her family and they were in disbelief.
Within two days of coming out of the coma, Anita didn’t need the oxygen tube that helped her breathe, she could breathe perfectly on her own. Next, she asked to have the food tube removed from her throat because she wanted to eat real food. Anita felt very euphoric. She knew she was going to be okay, but everyone around her was being really cautious.
By the 4th day, the doctor said that her tumors had shrunk 60 or 70% just to the touch. The swelling went down and the tumors went down. Anita’s cancer healed.
The doctors continued to conduct tests because they didn’t believe the cancer was gone. Her oncologist told her, he didn’t know what to write in her medical file nor did he know what to make of her.
It took Anita some time to make sense of what happened to her. She was confused about what words to use to describe her experience. Was it her Higher Self? Was it God? What was It?
If she uses the term God she must add that God has no form. God is formless. Anita explains, the minute you put form on God you put limitation there. All she knew for sure was that something really huge had happened and that she connected with something. That something that she connected to made her feel that she was that something. When she was in the state without her body she was also apart of that something, she was everything, she was invincible, she was connected to everybody and every living thing.
Anita became the universe in that state. She realized she had the universe inside of her and that we all do. Anita describes, it feels as though we are all at the center of the universe. When you find that center place you can start allowing everything that is yours to enter into your life. It’s not about pursuing anything, it’s about allowing what is yours to come to you.
Anita’s advice
Relax and realize that the journey to creating our reality is to discover our Real Self, who we truly are. The more we discover our True Self the more we allow that which is truly ours to come into our life. Once you know that you are an amazing magnificent being that is worthy and deserving of everything that you desire, once you know that you are worthy and you deserve love, unconditional love, in the way that you desire it, you only have to realize it and allow it in. We seem to believe we have to compete to have our desires met, but we’re all different, no two people have the same desires and the universe needs all of us. We are all facets of the universe and we’ve come to express who we are.
At our core essence we are pure love and that is the point at which we are all connected. When you are in touch with that and that is who you are being, you cannot help but be anything but pure love. The human form gives us our individuality, our ego self, and as long as we are expressing through our physical bodies the best thing we can do is accept our egos. Accept we are ego beings as long as we are expressing in the physical.
While we are in physical life we all feel separate from each other. Because we have physical bodies, we compete, we have crime. In our physical bodies we don’t feel the Oneness that we truly are at our core essence.
Anita’s message is; at our core, we are Love, when we are being our true self all we can be is Love because that’s who we are at our core. Don’t be afraid to be who you truly are — Love Itself.
The Lilou interview is 46 minutes long and well worth the time. Don’t worry about what you have to do or where you have to go, after all, Love is all there is. Hope you enjoy!
